Meet The Students of 2025
























Chase Adams
🎓 CAL STATE LONG BEACH - Adams Pool Plastering
Chase says that his ultimate goal is to “provide a strong and happy life for my future
family.” He has decided that his career path will be in sales. “I have always had a
way of relating to and understanding people with little introduction. I believe these
people skills would go to waste if I did not use them to advance myself toward my
ideal life.”
Ellena Ashby
🎓 UNIVERSITY OF MINNESOTA DULUTH - Atlas Pools
Growing up with her family in the pool industry, Ellena learned that success comes
when you show up every day and work hard. She credits the Phi Sig motto “aim
high” for showing “there is no limit to what powerful women can achieve when they
push themselves everyday.” Phi Sig also helped teach her the “importance of
balancing academics, service, and social responsibility.”

Teagan Bland
🎓 GRAND CANYON UNIVERSITY - Let’s Talk Pools
Teagan’s desire to be a nurse started as early as Kindergarten when she would pack
her “pink first aide kit” in her back pack every day. “The opportunity to support
women and families during childbirth—one of the most significant and emotional
times in a person’s life—has deeply resonated with me. I want to help mothers feel
supported and care for as they embark on this journey.”

Regina Catahan
🎓 WESTERN GOVERNORS UNIVERSITY - Titan Pools
Regina remembers that she has always been interested in the creative side of life and
calls herself “a kid who wanted to try every part that the arts had to offer.” These in-
terests drew her into the world of film in middle school and all through high school.
She is “fascinated in the technical side of it: the editing, visual effects, composing mu-
sical scores, and the genre of digital horror.”
Blake DeVanna
🎓 UCSB - Pentair
Blake excelled in high school by taking AP classes all four years and earned a 4.37
GPA. He was on the Principal’s honor roll all 4 years. But that’s not all! Blake also
volunteered in the community doing beach clean ups, playing soccer, and tutoring.
While participating in the Best Buddies program, he had the opportunity to work with
and become friends with disabled kids at school.
Nicholas Dorn
🎓 FRESNO STATE - Malins Pool Supply
“I want to be the first person in my family to go to a 4 year university and graduate.”
Nicholas says science camp is where he developed his interest in seeing how things
are built, but it was a class called LEAD that actually influenced his desire to earn a
degree in civil engineering. Nicholas plans to join the college bowling team and
currently has a 192 average!
Keleni Fa’anunu
🎓 BRIGHAM YOUNG UNIVERSITY HAWAII - Pool Safe
Keleni says she is “passionate about Psychology.” She lost her parents at a young
age and was raised by her aunt and uncle in a family with 9 kids. She learned that
“Everyone’s mind works differently, but we all have similar thought patterns,
emotions, and behaviors.” Work experience taught her the skills of customer service,
communication, problem solving, and perseverance.
Brandon Fraser
🎓 UC BERKELEY - Swan Pools
Brandon’s dream is to apply his college degree in Applied Mathematics & Economics
into a “rewarding job revolving around computer software or perhaps owning my own
business one day.” He has won many awards including AP Scholar, National Honors
Society, California Scholarship federation, and Gold Scholar Athlete Award as the
captain of his soccer team.
Jeffery Garcia
🎓 UCSD MEDICAL SCHOOL - Alan Smith Pools
Jeffrey’s dream was to be a professional soccer player like his father until a career
ending injury “changed our lives dramatically and offered me a glimpse into my future
journey towards medicine.” While pursuing his medical career, Jeffrey worked as an
EMT which gave him “purpose and direction”. He says, “My father’s injury, which
was initially a setback became a driving force.”
Abbie Gardner
🎓 WESTERN CAROLINA UNIV. - J & J Dig/Aquatechnologies
Abbie says “I find myself constantly striving to help people and offering assistance
whenever I can.” “In realizing this, I believe I will be able to offer an intelligent and
thoughtful mind to the law economics field.” Through her volunteer and internship
opportunities she has been able to experience different educational mediums which
will help equip her to provide high quality service.

Matthew Guiterrez
🎓 UNIVERSITY OF UTAH - Steele Pools
After he graduates from college, Matthew’s dream is to “start working in my stepfa-
ther’s pool contracting business. I want to learn the business under him, from the
ground up so I can eventually work my way up and take over the business.” He has
“been thinking and researching how to expand the business so that it can continue to
grow.” He has his sites set on a Master’s in Business!

Nicholas Guiterrez
🎓 TEXAS CHRISTIAN UNIVERSITY - Steele Pools
Nicholas will be graduating next fall with a degree in Economics. “Over my time at
TCU I have explored various careers I may choose to dive into after schooling. Within
the economics club and through the career center I have found passions in Real Estate
and Economic Forecasting.” While working an internship in Real Estate he felt drawn
toward Real Estate Development.
Angelica Hernandez
🎓 MT. JACINTO COLLEGE - Aquatechnologies
Angelica says the staff and teachers at Ortega High School helped her realize her po-
tential and decide to attend college. With that guidance and support, she achieved
High Honor Roll, a Certificate of Recognition for being part of the Superintendent’s
Advisory Meeting, an Academic Award from Riverside County and earned a 4.0 GPA!
Proving to herself that she was truly “capable.”
Jillian Jaime
🎓 BIOLA UNIVERSITY - Orange Hills Pool & Spa
Jillian intends to follow her mother and become a nurse. “I have grown up watching
her be the hero that she is, in and out of the hospital. I am now on my educational
journey to become a nurse.” She plans to work as a RN until she earns her Master’s
Degree to become a Nurse Practitioner. “My end goal is to work in either labor and
delivery or pediatrics. I have always loved children.”
Jackson Kesserman
🎓 WHEATON COLLEGE - PoolCorp
Jackson says, “I am a dedicated, hardworking individual who strives for excellence
in everything I do, from academic pursuits to athletic commitments and professional
experiences.” He says, I find peace in the pool, particularly in swimming and water
polo,” which leads right into his plans of earning a Master’s Degree in Business Ad-
ministration and Sports Management.
Logan Langevin
🎓 BIOLA UNIVERSITY - Simply Pools
Logan is majoring in film and media. “I’m especially interested in my current goal to
become better in the lighting field. This is an area that combines technical precision
with creative expression.” Logan says he is “especially drawn to the way lighting
shapes mood, visual storytelling, and emotional depth on screen.” He hopes to build a
foundation in both on and off set production.
Pablo Llamas
🎓 CAL STATE FULLERTON - Titan Pools
Pablo says his main educational goal is to “graduate with honors with a degree in
Finance or Business Administration.” He aspires to become “a respected financial
analyst, a profession where I can leverage my analytical mindset and attention to detail
to help individuals and organizations make sound financial decisions.” He credits
working in a family owned pool business for strengthening his customer service skills.

Mason Magnus
🎓 CAL STATE LONG BEACH - Pierside Pool & Spa
Mason is planning to pursue a career in photojournalism. “I want to be a brand
photographer or shoot pictures for various kinds of magazines. Having creative talents
guarantees that I’m able to think of ideas on the spot for anything—and I mean any-
thing! Mason loves project instructions which require her to “brain– storm” or “get
creative”. She also excels in high school and club volleyball.
Ashlyn McGreevy
🎓 UNIV. OF CALIFORNIA IRVINE - Mission Pools
Ashlyn reveals “I’ve always been considered to be the ’therapist friend’ of my various
friend groups.” Her friend struggling with an eating disorder and depression made her
feel helpless but led her to pursue psychology courses in high school. Her work load
at school also included 7 AP classes, International Baccalaureate classes, school lead-
ership, tennis and participating in 10 clubs.
Rebecca McIlroy
🎓 GRAND CANYON UNIVERSITY - Mission Pools
“My education represents the foundation of everything I aspire to become. It has
grounded me through life’s most turbulent moments and inspired me to aim higher
than I once thought possible.” She says her career goal is breaking into the motor-
sports industry and “using my marketing background to help shape and drive the sto-
ries behind the teams, the sponsors and the athletes.”
Alexandria Newman
🎓 UNIVERSITY OF CINCINNATI - Pentair
Alexandria says, “My long term career goal is to transition into freelancing and even-
tually start my own digital marketing agency. I am particularly passionate about work-
ing with smaller business in the fashion and beauty industries.” She is currently work-
ing to earn her Master’s Degree in Marketing while working full time as a Senior Ac-
count Manager at an advertising agency.
MacKenzie Newman
🎓 ARIZONA STATE UNIVERSITY - Pentair
MacKenzie is currently a communications major and she says, “I love it. It is some-
thing I am super passionate about learning. My classes have taught me how to proper-
ly communicate in both work environments and relationships.” She is hoping to study
in Rome next year “to learn how other cultures communicate.” After college she
hopes to work in public relations.
Cash Semonza
🎓 TULANE UNIVERSITY - PoolCorp
Cash has big plans for college! “My ultimate goal is to walk on to Tulane’s football
team, earn a full-ride scholarship through hard work and dedication, and contribute to
the team’s success by helping win a conference championship.” Academically he
says, “I plan to major in finance. I have always been interested in the world of money,
management, investments, and operations.”
Evelyne Smith
🎓 SUFFOLK UNIVERSITY - Alan Smith Pools
“In the fall, I will be attending Suffolk University as a Biochemistry major through the
Science Honors Program.” She calls this a “critical step toward medical school and
ultimately becoming an anesthesiologist.” She says she “pushes her self constantly. I
believe true growth happens outside the comfort zones and I have built my life around
this belief.”
